Liked the simplistic, child-like ambience - somewhat refreshing I guess. Nice gameplay: you had some good ideas in there (the thin bridge threw me off for a sec.)

First off, props on the middle section in the music loop - i wasn't it expecting it.

Unfortunately, everything but how Mario was drawn was in need of dire help. Not only was it pointless, but Mario was glitchy, and I was lost the entire time.

Some parts I wuzn't expecting: the cannon & the last one...
It surprised me...I enjoyed it. Maybe next time try to add a lil more to the surroundings...all the grey seemed a lil bland. Anyway, keep it rollin...

...but to make it play-worthy, you'd definately have to add a few more things. I noticed that it didn't have any change in speed or spin like many other games do. Of course the interface could be enhanced, and gameplay could be vamped up a lil' (powerups?), but for only in the spare time of a few lunchbreaks, I guess this could be considered good practice for other flashes.

I really enjoyed it...the graphics and sound were amazing, the menu's were accurately video-game like, and the plot was humorous. But my favorite part was the last scene, especially since I forgot about the princess as well. :)

Considering it's your first attempt, it was good. I'm sure that you know your graphics aren't the best, but the use of focus and an attempt for 3d was decent. Although it didn't have a unique, nor interesting plot, I can tell you put alot of work into this.
